Adaptive Design Association is committed to full financial transparency. Every dollar helps build access, inclusion, and opportunity. We take our responsibility to our donors, funders, and community seriously, ensuring that resources are used efficiently to create the greatest possible impact.

Overview
In Fiscal Year 2024, Adaptive Design invested in critical infrastructure upgrades to strengthen our long-term sustainability. With support from the Ford Foundation’s Good Neighbor Committee, we refined financial systems, updated our chart of accounts, and transitioned to program-based budgeting, changes that enhance both transparency and alignment with our mission.
In Fiscal Year 2025, Adaptive Design ended with a surplus primarily driven by two multi-year foundation grants received during the year. As these funds are restricted for future program and organizational activities, the surplus is reflected primarily in net assets with donor restrictions and will be released as the related work is performed over future fiscal years.

Bringing Our Story to Life Through Design
Each year, Adaptive Design Association releases an Annual Impact Report. a reflection of the creativity, collaboration, and care that drive our mission. This report showcases the stories behind our numbers: the children gaining independence, the students learning new skills, and the communities reimagining accessibility together.
Our annual reports was made possible through the generous in-kind services of volunteer designers, whose talent and time help translate our impact into a beautiful, accessible publication.
