Field Trips
Local to NYC or planning a visit? This option offers an immersive, behind-the-scenes look at adaptive design in action.
During a 1.5-hour visit to our Midtown workshop, groups will:
- Take a guided tour of our adaptive design studio
- Meet members of our multidisciplinary team, including designers, fabricators, therapists, and educators
- Learn how everyday and recycled materials are transformed into adaptive tools such as chairs, tables, easels, and footrests
- Explore creative, low-cost accessibility solutions and the design thinking behind them
Field trips are centered on observation, discussion, and interactive exploration. Please note that hands-on building is not included.
We’re happy to collaborate with educators to develop pre-visit materials and provide follow-up resources to extend learning beyond the experience.
Cost:
Our recommended rate is $250 per group, with flexible pricing available. We never want cost to be a barrier. Additional contributions directly support our team, workshop, and materials, helping us continue to provide meaningful learning experiences.
Please include the age of participants, school affiliation, number of students, and preferred dates and times in your inquiry email. Field trips are offered Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, during our regular hours of operation.

Pre- and Post-Visit Support
We work closely with educators to design preparatory materials before your visit and follow-up resources after the session. This ensures students maximize learning opportunities and can apply concepts from adaptive design, accessibility, and creative problem-solving in the classroom or at home.
